Flat Screen/Full Body: A Politics of the Desktop

Join us for an artist talk that delves into the desktop - as a space of image and of work, of flatness and of metaphor. Exploring various projects from her practice - from painting, to screenshots to sculptural work, Anisha Baid will attempt to trace the effects of the flattening of our world enabled by our interfaces and offer her artistic and poetic gestures in resistance to it.

Anisha Baid is an artist and writer from Kolkata, India. Her practice and research involve an investigation of pervasive technologies through an examination of their design, diversity of use, and their relationship with ideas from science fiction.
